Revitalize the Mineral Palace Park Greenhouse Complex, transforming the site into a modern, efficient, and community-enhancing horticultural facility.

Mineral Palace Greenhouse Construction

Fortis General Contracting partnered with the City of Pueblo to revitalize the Mineral Palace Park Greenhouse Complex, transforming the site into a modern, efficient, and community-enhancing horticultural facility. The project encompassed new construction, interior renovations, and extensive site improvements to support long-term operational performance.

Our team began by demolishing the existing greenhouse structures and installing new foundation piers for two state-of-the-art greenhouses measuring 3,500 and 5,100 square feet. Fortis managed the entire procurement and logistics process, including international shipping, customs coordination, and on-site assembly of the new greenhouse systems.

Each greenhouse was equipped with a low-voltage thermostat system integrated into automated fans and louvers, providing precise climate control and energy efficiency. In addition, Fortis renovated the existing block support building—upgrading office and restroom spaces to improve functionality and comfort for staff.

Beyond the building work, the project included significant site and civil improvements. Fortis constructed a new parking lot, installed storm sewer inlets, and added a full perimeter of commercial wrought-iron fencing for security and aesthetics. The team also coordinated closely with the City to implement traffic control measures, ensuring safe access and minimal disruption to public roadways throughout construction.

The Mineral Palace Greenhouse project exemplifies Fortis General Contracting’s ability to integrate structural, mechanical, architectural, and civil scopes under one seamless delivery. The result is a reliable, energy-efficient greenhouse complex that enhances daily operations for city employees and provides lasting value to the Pueblo community.
